Visa

I am dying to come home this summer so everyone can meet my cute, little husband. However, I have just started researching visa procedures, and I am convinced we will never get to the US. Because we are married, E can't get a tourist visa. Instead, he has to apply for a greencard. But he can only get a greencard if we plan to live and work in the US. Gosh, why is it so difficult to go on vacation with my husband? And how can it be more difficult for him to get a visa now than it was before we got married?
